Oxford Animal Hospital

Veterinary Receptionist

Oxford, FloridaFull-time
About the Job
Welcome to Oxford Animal Hospital! Our privately owned state-of-the art clinic was established in 2019, and we love to serve the bustling, rapidly growing community of The Villages, Florida. We are looking to add a compassionate, detail-oriented veterinary professional to our close-knit team who play an integral part in our practice and care about our vision and values.

Our mission at Oxford Animal Hospital is to maintain compassionate and ethical standards when caring for our patients and clientele so that we can make positive, long-term impressions on the lives we care for, both animal and human. We commit to protecting animal health by ensuring timely communication, education, and compassion with everything that we do.

Customer service is ingrained in every aspect of veterinary medicine, but the receptionists are the ones who elevate the customer's experience.  You are their first point of contact, providing calm, compassionate, and professional support during emotionally challenging moments. Clients should hear and see how much we truly care about them and their loved ones with every interaction!

This role is the key to keeping the hospital running smoothly and efficiently by managing phones, a meticulous multi-doctor schedule, checking clients in and out, while maintaining clear communication with clients and team members alike. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and client relation skills that will support our values while building long-term bonding relationships with our clients to further foster the human-animal bond.

We strongly advocate for a work-life balance and understand the importance of family time, which is why our practice is open Monday through Friday, with no weekends or on-call hours.

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation packet based on experience.
  • Supportive family-style culture.
  • Professional growth and support.
  • Emphasis on work-life balance.

What we are looking for:
  • Collaboration & teamwork: Carefully coordinating actions with veterinarians and team members to ensure workflow efficiency.
  • Patience & compassion: Responding quickly and calmly to a crisis while maintaining a high standard of patient care and remaining professional with clients and teammates.
  • Active listening and strong communication: Following instructions given by veterinarians and picking up on the needs of veterinarians and teammates alike. Able to convey clear instructions to pet parents and teammates to ensure successful patient care.
  • Organization skills: Being able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while staying organized and focused on detail-oriented tasks.
